Our May Day Contest has ended, and the Facebook fans have spoken! We’re thrilled to have introduced the 3 lucky winners of our contest, including our Grand Prize winner, Andrew.
Andrew Hunt wanted to win some Frame It All products to begin a sustainable garden at his early learning center in Bloomington, Illinois. We are thrilled to announce that he won the Grand Prize in our May Day Contest, the Deluxe Greenhouse ($629.80 value)! It’s sturdy enough for all-weather use, which will allow Andrew and his students and staff to double their plant space and extend their gardening season. We know it will be an attractive, functional addition to their curriculum and community. Congratulations, Andrew!
Here is an excerpt from Andrew’s prize-winning essay:
“Over the past year our center has worked toward becoming a National Green School Coalition certified school, revamped our food menu with the guidance of a local nutritionist, added food choice awareness in the lesson planning of our preschool classes…. Being able to add a green house, vegetable garden, or similar capabilities to our programming would be a gift that more than 100 children could appreciate each day. The ability for the children to grow their own food, learn accountability for keeping that food alive and healthy, learn cooking skills with the food, and then eventually incorporating the composting of any food extras would be a priceless way to teach life skills.”
Tomorrow, we’ll introduce our honorable mention winners.
